A steady stream of hits over nine innings led the Toros to the second win of the season on Thursday.
The Toros dropped the Wynot Expos 8-1 at the Tea Legion Ball Fields.
Wynot’s lone run came in the first inning on three hits. Toros pitcher Kevin Cheppenko stopped every other batter the Expos sent up. The first year player struck out 13 batters on the day.
The Toros scored one in the second inning, two in the fourth, three in the fifth and one each in the seventh and eighth inning.
Bryan Vyhlidal led the Toros at the plate, going 4-for-6 with four singles and four RBIs. Ken Gruewalt went 3-for-5 and John Kuhn went 2-for-4 with a single and a double.
